Tetebatu Tour, a day tour on Tetebatu Village to explore the village, walk on rice terraces and soft hiking in the monkey forest to see the black monkey. Monkey forest, the monkey forest at Tetebatu village is very unique as it has black monkeys, which are more shy and less aggressive than the common grey monkeys. Soft hiking on Tetebatu monkey forest is a great experience as you also can see different plants such as coffee, durian, candle nut, vanilla and other wild trees
Tetebatu Rice Terraces, an unique area of land in Lombok that is home to stretching rice fields built into the mountain. The land is layered with different platforms growing various types of rice. This is due to a centuries-old traditional irrigation technique called subak. This is done so water can run through the various layers of rice crops and keep them all wet and good to grow
Itinerary:
Tetebatu tour start at 8 am from your hotel with a private car drive to Tetebatu village on the east region of Lombok. It take about 1,5 hours drive to reach the village, once arrive meet with the guide from local people at the village.
After introduction and briefing start the soft hiking, walk in the protected rain forest to searching for the black monkey.
The duration of walk at the monkey forest around 30 minutes to 1 hours and then continue to explore the village of Tetebatu, walk on the rice terraces and get interact with the local people. You can join the local people to do planting or harvesting depending on the season. Or you even can try to do coffee roasting in traditional way.
Around 3 hours in total exploring the village, walk on the rice field, monkey forest and taste their fresh coffee we will stop for having lunch at local restaurant to taste the authentic local food of the village.
Finish lunch, its time to drive back to your hotel, arrive around 5 PM. Trip done
